Conflict-Resolution with Kelso's Choices

We have been learning about Kelso's Choices ,and how we can solve our own small problems, in our guidance lessons this week and next! Here is a recap of what we have been learning.

Remember, when it is a small problem (argument with a friend, not wanting to play the same game, not wanting to share, etc.) try at least two of Kelso's Choices. You can try more than two if you like, but you need to at least try two before going to an adult for help. Why do we try two? Sometimes you try one and it doesn't work right away, so you may need to try one more choice to try and solve your problem.

If it is a BIG problem (bullying vs. someone was just being mean, you are being physically hurt, feel in danger or threatened, or someone else is being hurt or in danger) then please tell an adult right away. You do not need to try Kelso's Choices first in these cases.

Have fun singing along with Kelso, if you need a reminder about the choices and want to get a catchy song stuck in your head! ;-)
